"MKZ and Xenics Storm were the second teams to battle for a spot at the semifinals of Azubu LoL The Champions Spring 2012 on April 20. Xenics Storm being a team riding on their coachs fame had a lot to prove and MKZ was just the team to do that with. MKZ not being a professional team had their work cut out for them having to go against Xenics Storm who is. However, even though MKZ displayed excellent skills Xenics Storm managed to outplay them in both matches and won the ticket to the semifinals.
The bans for the first set were Shen, Kassadin, and Nidalee for Xenics Storm, while MKZ banned Anivia, Kennen, and Alistar.
The champions that were picked (in order of Xenics Storm then MZK) were Jarvan IV (May) and Olaf (TowerFury) for Top Lane; the Jungle was defended by Nocturne (H0R0) and Dr. Mundo (SunRiver); Middle Lane champions were Lulu (ManyReason) and Ahri (MidKing); Bot AD champions were Urgot (SBS) and Graves (losys); and lastly the Bot Support champions were Taric (impact) and Janna (junegi).
MKZ and Xenics Storms champions were all huddled together in nearly the same place. While MKZ were oblivious of Xenics Storms presence, Xenics Storm having a ward at the exact place where MZK were hiding knew when one of MKZs champions went back home. Xenics Storm immediately took the chance to strike MKZ and was able to secure a first blood against Dr. Mundo when the match had not even passed the two-minute mark.
The whole match flowed in Xenics Storms favor and this became evident when they were able to capture the first Dragon before the clock hit 11 minutes. At this point everyone could see the game was in Xenics Storms hand.
Although Ahri, the champion MidKing best known for, was picked Ahri was not shining in the game as people thought she would. This was because Lulu out shown Ahri in every way and suppressed Ahri from growing to the height of her power.
Xenics Storm killed their second Dragon when the game was going for about 16 minutes and a team fight blew up at that point. But the entire MKZ got killed off while Xenics Storm only lost Urgot and Taric.
As if MKZ was getting desperate to get control of the game, they kept going for reckless moves as was seen when Xenics Storm were going for the Baron. Even though MKZ already lost Ahri and Graves before Xenics Storm went for the Baron, Olaf showed up hoping for a steal. Instead, he got killed off by Lulu and Dr. Mundo went head first to the Baron alone again in hopes for a steal but got shot down by Urgot.
Afterwards, Xenics Storm pushed the Middle Lane destroying the Turret. At the 22-minute mark Xenics Strom manages to kill off all but Graves in front of MKZs Inhibitor which led to MKZ surrendering the match and declaring GG.
In the second match the bans were Kassadin, Nidalee, and Ahri for Xenics Storm and MKZ opted to ban Anivia, Lulu, and Kennen. This was an odd choice as that left Shen up for grabs. Sure enough, Shen was snatched by Xenics Storm.
The Top Lane champions were Olaf (May) and Warwick )TowerFury; Jungle champions were Shen (H0R0) and Jarvan IV (SunRiver); for Mid champions Cassiopeia (ManyReason) and Morgana (MidKing) got picked; with Bot AD champions being Sivir (SBS) and Urgot (losys); leaving Janna (impact) and Alistar (junegi) being the Bot Support champions.
The beginning of the second match was a standard passive start with both teams jungling. First blood was drawn by MKZ SunRiver as he ganked the Top Lane, killing Olaf. Olaf did not even have his ultimate skill just yet but due to his reckless pressuring gameplay he became the first to be killed.
MKZ continued to attack aggressively as Morgana captured Cassiopeia with her Dark Binding and used Soul Shackles that nearly ended Cassiopeia. But Morganas health was also at the bottom so neither went for the last kill. That moment Jarvan IV appeared and chased down Cassiopeia ultimately killing her. After that MKZ was able to get the first Dragon around 11 minutes in.
MKZ tried to get their second Dragon of the night when the clock was hitting the 17-minute mark. However this attempt was foiled as Xenics Storm showed up and a team fight burst open. Morgana used her ultimate skill but Cassiopeia killed off Warwick which squared the kill score even. This team fight led to Xenics Storm killing the entire MKZ champions and turning the kill score to 9:7 in their favor. Xenics Storm even got the Dragon after this fight.
From this point on Xenics Storm had control of the game and continued to dominate at the team fights. After Xenics Storm was able to secure their second Dragon, they all stopped and hid in a bush. Unfortunately, Jarvan IV did not know this and happened to be strolling by. Xenics Storm not passing by this good fortune, immediately attacked Jarvan IV and killed him. Then Xenics Storm went after the Baron, earning the Baron buff at 26 minutes in the game.
When the game was 30 minutes in, MKZ had only destroyed one of Xenics Storms Turret while Xenics Storm had destroyed more than five of MKZs. The gold difference was also nearly at 10,000 in Xenics Storms favor.
The action seen near the end was like a cycle of vengeance. Morgana and Jaran IV used their ultimate on Cassiopeia and Warwick finished her off. As if to defend Cassiopeias honor, Sivir killed Jarvan IV and Warwick. Urgot then killed Sivir, but Morgana got killed off as well. The kill score was at 17:12 in Xenics Storms favor when the clock was ticking at 34 minutes. With this kill score on their backs, they went in and got the Baron yet again.
As if they knew they were going to win, Xenics Storms Olaf was seen dancing where the Baron used to be when the game had been going on for more than 40 minutes. Soon after Xenics Storm pushed all the way into MKZs base killing off all but Jarvan IV. But right before Xenics Storm had destroyed the Nexus they were able to kill Jarvan IV as well earning an ace before their win.
Even though the match was over, there was one last information left that riled up the crowd. Janna had two kills, two deaths, and 22 assists, proving that Xenics Storm and the number 2 were inseparable.
With this win Xenics Storm will be meeting with MiG Frost at the semifinals.
Next match will be on April 25 where MiG Blaze and CLG will be battling each other."
