Spoiler:Zitat von melonfaceif you are mid and have a reliable, non subhuman-cancer-bracket-1600 team, get striders or stick to marchers for a longer period of time. you dont need big boots and striders allow you to control runes and gank the sidelanes very efficiently and early.
depending on how things are going you can start ganking with these items and wreak havoc incredibly early.
however dont do this if you play in the subhuman-cancer-bracket-1600.
because then these rules apply :
""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
1. any early game advantage you sacrifice your farm for (ganking sidelanes), will get nullified by your teammates retarded decision making (they will feed).
2. any early-efficient items you farm, will be wasted gold as the game will be dragged out anyway, regardless of lead, because in the subhuman-cancer-bracket-1600, everyone wants bigass items and will rather farm some more 15 minutes than win the game.
3. any kill you sacrifice your farming time for, will get stolen by flint-picking orange/brown, and he will then proceed to buy completely useless items with the gold you grant him, and feed even more than he would normally (due to him overestimating his abilities massively because of the items he bought with the gold you granted him)
4. there is a 66% chance after you initiate the teammates you gank for will
a) both save their nukes to get the lasthit resulting in the enemy running away
b) miss their non-single target stun
c) react too late trading your life for an enemy supports life
d) not react at all
e) votekick you for reasons unknown to mankind
5. after you leave mid to gank a sidelane, your entire ****ing team will TP (it will be the only time they will use tp in the entire game) to the middle lane because they can freefarm there.
****ing cancer bracket taking good players hostage with their atrocity.

Unless the team has a hero that gets destroyed by hellfire I usually don't ever touch hellfire before lvl 10.
oh yeah and this is incredibly retarded advice. you want hellfire and tormented soul maxed asap (prioritizing your ult obviously), but spend 1 point in mummies once you start ****ing **** up. and that thing about using mummies to leech mana is beyond retarded aswell. in no laning situation ever, does this make sense.

Spoiler:Zitat von [TMDVitaTimH]
1500:
The good: Players who truly want to get better are VERY good about buying wards and courier. I think this is due to lots of instructional guide videos appearing about the wonders of warding.
The bad: People still don't understand that autoattacking is bad. People don't calculate mana; they go into a gank, cast stuff, and can't finish off with an ult or something because they're out of mana. People don't know how to conserve mana in lane, people aren't efficient with TPs, poor positioning and map awareness ESPECIALLY IN TEAMFIGHTS, no general game sense (when to stick with team as a support? when to roam? oh there are 5 enemy heroes gathering mid should I continue to farm top or buy a port?) Bad sense of what areas are 'dangerous' and what areas are safe. General lack of knowledge (ward on higher ground, what's creep pulling, etc.) but this is mainly due to inexperience far more than the others, and is easily remedied. In a large firefight, might be more concerned with microing their hero than casting spells; this is why I don't recommend usual 'noob' heroes like Witch to my friends when they start out. Boots first + striders first is common; I think people at this level think being able to move fast = the easiest way to not die.
1600s:
The good: I've found that basic last hitting skills are gained at around this point. No pro harassing though, and supports still take your last hits. People generally know where to ward and pull and stuff, but counterwards are a mystery. Also, people are generally better.
The bad: Rudeness. People think they're god's gift to HoN. As people understand mechanics better, the trolling starts -- especially KS-ing. I've found that the 1600 bracket is where ks-ing happens with the greatest frequency. All support heroes are trying to farm giant items. Still general issues like lack of game sense all carry over, but at a lesser rate. People rage but it's okay because they usually rage about things that are dumb. People don't know the best item builds. At this tier, people start getting Charged Hammer, Elder Parasite, etc. A LOT. I guess people think attacking very fast is good at this level.
1700:
The good: Despite all the qq, people in the 1700s are generally pretty good about everything. Sure, they're not the best players, but IMO once you break out of the 1600s the game experience gets generally a lot better. Some amazing plays here and there; at this point most 1700 players usually have a handful of heroes they can absolutely destroy with. for example, with heroes I personally am the best at -- Dr., Witch, Pyro, I can outmid 1800 players playing heroes they aren't necessarily the best at.
The bad: RAGE. DEFINITELY THE RAGE. Everyone expects everyone to be good. Expect rage if you stun the wrong target. Expect rage if you take one last hit as a support. Expect MASSIVE rage if you miss a mia call. Also, if players are making mistakes in terms of build / items, expect them to rage when you call them out on it. Generally, however, I find the fact that people saying 1700 players are overly arrogant isn't very true. One other random thing I've noticed is that 1700s often don't like trilanes or 'unconventional' pub strats.
1800s:
The good: Very good teamwork. Good communication, good map awareness, generally this is the top of the line for a noncompetitive pub player.
The bad: Trilanes everywhere pretty much. lol. Also, some players are EXTREMELY arrogant. I remember a game where I was playing Chronos, and our 1880 Nomad rushed for Runed Axe. I commented that Nomad isn't a Runed Axe hero, and he literally said to me "you dare talk to me? you didn't even get runed axe till minute 20" this pretty much speaks for itself. Even though he did very well that game, his poor item choice really did lose the game.
