    TGL: International Sign-Ups Opened

The Hungarian Total Gaming League was for Hungarians only but it now has decided to go international and allow sign-ups from throughout the whole world.

The Total Gaming League is a project planned by the Hungarian company called TotalGaming Ltd. Hungarians had a headstart on sign-ups but now the organisers decided to open the gates for other nations also. The league already has sponsors like LG, Acer, EA Games or Fujitsu and high prizes (in case of 32 teams you can win up to 300€ with an entry of only 4€/person) to back them up. The teams signing up will have to pay a 20€ entry, 24€ in case of a 6th player, which has to be paid to the bank account shown on the offical TGL website, which can be found, after registering on the site, here.

Sign-ups are accepted in the following games:
    Counter-Strike Source
    Counter-Strike 1.6
    Call Of Duty 2
    Call Of Duty 4

In every game the organisers are expecting 8-32 teams, in case of more than 32 they will increase the prize winnings and the team slots. The whole league is in line with other league trends, which means after group stages it goes into a Double-Elmination system where only the best teams will go all the way up to the final. Group stages will have to be played until one week when both teams are ready to play and in the play-offs the organisers will give fixed dates. Line-Up changes throughout the tournament won't be allowed, so teams should only sign-up if they are sure that their team is stable enough to go through the whole season.

For the whole tournament the TGL will provide gaming servers where the matches will take place. For lag-free games the organisers received help from two game-hosters: Luxhosting (German game-servers and Holland game-servers) and Synapse-Hosting (German game-servers and Hungarian game-server).

    Sign-Ups end on 31st, January 2011.
