(Quelle)

Paar neue Infos von Valve
- there is a competitive and casual mode
- Ammo is free as in source
- few new guns
- There are also a couple of new nades
- There are molotov grenades, which create a fire-blanket that slows players are little
- The other new nade is a decoy-nade, that can play firing-sounds, so it can be used to fake that a player is in a position
- In the current build armor is also free, but I am pretty sure this will be changed, at least for the competitve mode
- Because of this armor-change they also revamped the money system, which wasn't too nice, you didn't really get enough money
- All the maps have names you know, but most of them have been altered. Dust2 only has very minor changes from the source version, but the other maps have some pretty big changes
- Planned release is Q1 2012
- It will have matchmaking and rankings, so it's not just another version of the same thing, it is mainly made for 5on5 play, so it's more about getting the "real" competitive experience than previous versions has been.
- Air-movement feels pretty much exactly like in source.
- Recoil was a bit weird, since it was actually made more random from how I understood it, but since they made it be random in a circle instead of a square it ended up being easier to control. Anyways, they're going to change it, since right now spraying is just the only way to really go about playing the game
- You can also play on your own servers, but all games within the built-in ranking system must be on valve servers from what we've heard. The match making system isn't in the game right now, so we haven't tested that part of it. But yes, game hosting can be done as it is done now as well.
- The replay function is going to be in it is all I can think of and with it some movie making thing, we will hopefully be able to test that tomorrow, if they get it ready in time
- it has wallspamming which is more like 1.6, but it is on the source engine, so the feel of it is more(but not exactly) like source
- The flashes are also more like 1.6, where turning your back to them will make you a lot less flashed than looking straight at them, but they also have the sound from source
- The smokes are like they are in the current source.
- There is also more tagging than in source, but the tagging also depends on the damage youre being dealt, so you wont be pinned to the ground by being hit by a glock for example
